When I tell you who is calling you from 855-451-6753, please don’t just click back and be done with it as you have many options.
So, who’s calling? It’s Upstart’s servicing department (source) as your debt may be behind. If you CANNOT pay, we will discuss what can happen. If you can pay, you make a payment here.
Check what may happen with your debt. Please note that this is an estimate.
So, what can you do if you cannot pay the debt? Let’s go through a few options.
Speak With Them and Explain Your Hardship
Upstart’s team is often really friendly, and they are not like debt collection agencies I’ve hard of in the past. Also, Upstart may have a hardship program that will work with you. If you have already been in a financial hardship, you can ask them if there’s anything they can do for you.
So, one option is that you can call them back at 855-451-6753, and explain your financial hardship. Ask if they have any financial hardship options.
You Can Send A Letter To Stop Contacting You
If you cannot pay your debt, and are unlikely to even work out a financial hardship plan, you can send them a letter to stop contacting you. You can do that with all your creditors though. To do this, you can use a free debt validation letter generator based on the CFPB’s guidance and then just mail from there.
